There’s always a reason. We never do anything in our lives without a reason. No matter how small and seemingly insignificant it is, there’s always something driving us to act.
For those of us running a small business, there’s something pushing us to do what we do.
We’ve just got to be clear on what our reason is; what we’re doing it for.
It could just be that we need a paycheck in order to survive, so we do it just for the money. And that’s OK, as long as everyone involved knows what’s going on; as long as we’re all on the same page.
But, maybe some of us are looking for more. Maybe we’re trying to provide a service. Maybe we’re trying to help someone. Maybe we’re striving to be the best. Maybe we’re trying to make a difference.
Once we know what it’s for, then we can work on making it happen.
Once we know our reason, it can be about more than just the money.
