Many business owners despise the regulations imposed on them by the regulators.
Why can’t I just do what I want to do?
If we stopped bitching for a minute and looked around, we’d see that civil society is full of regulations.
We go when the light’s green and stop when it’s red.
We can’t take something from someone else simply because we want it.
We’re not supposed to murder people.
We pay our taxes so that we have the infrastructure necessary to keep doing our job.
We can’t sell beer and cigarettes to ten year-old children.
Maybe the correct response isn’t how can I get rid of these regulations, it’s what can I do to make sure that the regulations we have in place work better for everyone in the future.
