While owning your own home inspection business can be difficult, we do have one significant advantage over most other small business owners: we get to choose our customers!
Now, you may be thinking “What the hell are you talking about? At this point, I’ll take any warm body that walks in the door holding out their credit card!”
Granted, when we start out (at the bottom rung of the ladder), we can’t be too choosy with our clientele. But, we don’t have to keep our feet on that bottom rung for long. As soon as we’re ready, we can start moving up, taking the incremental steps needed to move our way to the top.
We don’t have to serve everyone that walks in the door; it’s our world, and we get to choose the people that benefit from the things we’ve got to offer.
