Maybe

We’ve all got them: a list of things we want to do, things we want to be, things we want to accomplish. We may have them handwritten in a journal, stored digitally somewhere on our phone, or ever-present in the back of our mind. But, they’re there.

The problem is that, all too often, that’s exactly where they stay.

We convince ourselves that we’re just not smart enough, not strong enough, or not dedicated enough to do them. Or, we reason, that we’ll get to them later; some other time, some other way.

We’ve looked at all the options and rationalized that it would be too much work, that we’re better off staying put, that things are good enough as they are.

But if they were good enough, then why do we have our list?

Maybe it’s that we just don’t care enough to do the work.

Maybe.
