Irreplaceable

It’s tough to start a small business that can sustain us over the long haul. It’s temping, and often a really good idea, to simply mimic what other successful businesses in our industry are doing.

However, if we stop a minute to think about it, if we’re just replicating something that’s already available, that turns us into an easily replaced cog in the wheel of our marketplace.

If clients can’t tell the difference between what we offer and our competitors, then there’s no incentive for them to choose us.

It would seem to be a better move to do something that makes us stand out from the crowd, that way it’s that much harder to find someone offering what it is we do.

And makes it that much harder to replace us.
