Heavy Lifting

We all love to offer our opinion on someone else’s work. We’ve got no problem telling people what we think. We’re eager to put in our two cents.

Nobody, on the other hand, is willing to do the hard work of building something for you from scratch. Ask for help creating that new product and we’ve likely to get nothing but the chirping of crickets in return.

Why not use this fact of human nature to our advantage?

Build our product until it resembles a finished work (even though it really isn’t) and put it out there for public consumption.

We’re sure to get people telling us what they would have done differently. The odds are that some of those ideas will prove to be beneficial, and we can use everyone else (crowdsourcing our customers) to better our offerings.

Why should we do all the heavy lifting when other people are so eager to offer their opinions?
