One of the problems with working in a specialty industry (like being a home inspector) is that most people have no idea what it is we do.
And it’s hard to sell someone on your service if they have no idea what that service entails.
The first thing we need to do is explain what it is that we do and then we’ve got to figure out if they’re even interested in utilizing our services.
It might seem like a strange thing to say, but this is an instance where having competition can be a good thing. With competitors in our market, we’ve got help explaining exactly what it is we do.
We’ve just got to hope that those competitors know what it is they’re doing…
