3D Home Inspection Software (test)

As you venture out into your home inspection career, one of your first business decisions will be which software to purchase.  There are always many different software companies to choose from, and new ones are coming on the scene everyday.  It can be a little overwhelming for a new inspector.  How do you know which one to pick, when you haven’t even starting doing inspections yet?  Hopefully, this guide can provide you with some additional information to help the decision making process.

When we were starting House Call Home Inspection, we first began doing home inspections on carbon-less copy sheets.  We had our section pages arranged in a binder, and would have to keep moving a piece of cardboard back and forth, between pages, so that we could write our reports.  Needless to say, we were looking for a way to improve on this process.  With the advent of personal computers, we saw it as a perfect opportunity to provide our clients something that no other inspection company was providing: on-site produced reports.  This one thing that set us apart from our competition played a major role in our company’s initial success.  And finding the right software was critical.  Unfortunately, like many of us do in our lives, the company attempted to save some money by purchasing an inexpensive software.  If I remember correctly, I think it was $79, and, obviously, that experiment went nowhere.  I endured a few more attempts to pinch pennies before the company finally bought a good software program.  Unfortunately, we spend money and lost valuable time trying to make a cheap program perform like we needed it to.

We have been using 3d Inspection software for our company home inspections since 2002.  Its system is intuitive and easy to modify.  It comes ready to go, right out of the package, or you can modify it to personalize your inspection reports to express your business concentration.  The School Edition ($599) has everything that a new home inspector needs to start a professional business.  The Standard Edition ($1199) includes all of the features of the School Edition, but also adds in standard office management options.  The  Premier Version ($1399) has all of the features of the School and Standard Edition, and also offers a searchable database, ability to handle multiple-inspectors and integrates seamlessly with Quickbooks Pro software.  You can start out at the School Edition level and later, as your business grows, upgrade to the Standard or Premier Version by simply paying the difference in the cost of the versions.  There are free versions available for trial and every purchase comes with 3d Inspection’s 60 day refund promise.

Please note:  I believe in transparency in all of my businesses, so I am disclosing that I will earn an affiliate commission on your purchase of 3d Inspection software.  My goal with my sites and blogs is to educate you on the possibilities that exist in the home inspection industry, but please understand that I am doing this as a for-profit business, just as you should be running your business too, unless you are involved in some type of charitable endeavor.

This commission does not cost you any more money.  Please understand that I only recommend products and companies that I have personal experience with, and know for certain they can provide you with the resources to help make your business more successful.  This is more important than any small commission that I may receive if you decide to purchase one of these products.  Please do not purchase these products unless you are convinced that they will provide value to you and your business.

Understand that I have not been given any free or sample versions of this product in exchange for mentioning them on this site.  This is software that I have purchased for my business use, and the only consideration is in the form of affiliate commission.

Please get in touch with me if you have any questions about this disclaimer.
